Have you ever been lulled to sleep? I’ve caught myself dozing off on the highway, at stoplights, at work, in church, in the middle of conversation with friends. Not that I wanted to not be present, but my drifting thoughts and the murmur of life dulled my senses and off I went….
I’ve caught myself drifting off to sleep in my life before. Just like the feeling of realizing with a start that you’re driving off the shoulder of the road, I’ve come to myself and recognized that I was beginning to head off the path of life.
“Keep it between the lines,” my Dad tells me. “Just keep it between the lines.”
So wake up, men. Wake up, women. This is real life. This is for keeps.
